Good days for Free Wi-Fi
Tuesday, February 02, 2010
Free Wi-Fi locations are getting more use than ever and more and more locations are popping up. Barnes & Noble, Borders Books and McDonald's have recently added thousands of new locations by switching from paid to free Wi-Fi. Over the Holiday's Google supported Free Wi-Fi at a number of airports, some of which have decided to continue the Free Wi-Fi on their own, most notably Boston and San Francisco. The use of Wi-Fi-FreeSpots has grown due in large part to the proliferation of "smartphones". No longer is it just for laptop use. And the upcoming release of the iPad should increase usage as well. All in all, good days for Free Wi-Fi. As usual, many thanks to the users of the wififreespot.com web site who continue to send in new locations for addition to the site. |
