4600 Free Wi-Fi location listings There's been a steady growth in the number of location listings in the Wi-Fi-FreeSpot Directory over the last few months. Over 500 added since mid-November '04. Big States, small States, US locations, European, South American and Asian locations, big city locations, small town locations, cafes and coffee shops, restaurants and pubs, airports, RV Parks, Public Libraries, Resorts, Hotels, Motels and B&Bs, computer stores, car dealers and service centers, and malls. Business owners continue to see the benefit to offering Free Wi-Fi to their customers. Our recent survey found that 66% of the respondents said they always make a purchase when using Free Wi-Fi and another 30% make a purchase sometimes. 63% said they have never paid to use Wi-Fi. 82% said the availability of Free Wi-Fi affects their choice of a Hotel when traveling. 51% said they use Wi-Fi every day. The total number of fee based locations still exceeds the number of Free Wi-Fi locations but I suspect that usage levels in the Free locations is higher and I'll bet that purchase levels are higher too.
